[Biology Olympiads] A look back at the workshop run by UMR DECOD and U3E

The great adventure of migratory fish!

Organised by the Rennes Academy, high school students, from nine high school in Brittany, took part in a competition focusing on the scientific method.

This year, the awards ceremony took place on 11 March at INRAE, and the pupils had the opportunity to take part in four workshops on various research topics being carried out at the Brittany-Normandy centre.

Laura Soissons (UMR DECOD) and Megane Lebreton (U3E) led a workshop entitled "Between rivers and oceans: the great adventure of migratory fish! ”.
It was an opportunity to discover the migratory fish found in Europe and to identify the impact of human activities and the environment on their life cycle.
The Salmon Game is an excellent tool for raising awareness of these issues, whilst explaining the value of our work and the scientific approach by presenting various techniques used in the field and in the laboratory
